The Codification Division of the Office of Legal Affairs would like to express its appreciation for the generous contribution of the eminent international law scholars and practitioners who recorded lectures for the Lecture Series, prepared introductory notes for the Historic Archives and contributed their scholarly writings to the Research Library. These distinguished members of the international legal community come from different countries, legal systems, cultures and sectors of the legal profession. Their unique and varied perspectives have made it possible for the United Nations to offer authoritative international law training and research materials from a multicultural perspective through the Audiovisual Library of International Law. The aim of this unique resource is to promote a better understanding of international law as seen through the prism of diverse legal systems and cultures.
