Biography of Felipe Asturias

Felipe Asturias, the third child of King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain, was born on January 30, , at the Nuestra Señora de Loreto clinic in Madrid. He was born as the heir to the Spanish throne. Felipe was born after his parents already had two daughters, Infanta Elena (born on December 20, ) and Infanta Cristina (born on June 13, ). At birth, Felipe received the title of Infante. His godparents were Count of Barcelona Juan de Borbon and Queen Victoria Eugenia, Felipe's great-grandmother.

Succession to the Throne
